After the Game, After the Concert: Big Chiefs Kush is Five Minutes South of the Downtown Loop
The Five-Minute Drive South
Downtown Kansas City wraps around the Downtown Loop, the highway system that frames the central business district. Once you cross the Loop heading south, you’re in the Crossroads Arts District. Our shop at 527 Southwest Blvd is on the western edge of the Crossroads, near the I-35 boundary.
From the heart of Downtown, the drive south is roughly 5 minutes outside of event traffic. From the Power & Light District, head south on Main, then west on 18th or 19th to Southwest Blvd. From the Financial District, take Baltimore or McGee south, cross the Loop at I-670, and continue into the Crossroads.
If you’re parked in one of the Downtown garages, you can also walk or take the KC Streetcar instead of moving the car. The Streetcar runs free along Main with a stop at the Crossroads at 19th and Main. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk west to our shop.
After T-Mobile Center Lets Out
T-Mobile Center at 14th and Grand is Kansas City’s primary indoor arena. Concerts run late, sometimes ending at 10pm, sometimes pushing to 11:30pm on bigger shows. After the lights come up and you’re walking out into the Power & Light District, most of the licensed dispensaries downtown are already closing or closed.
From The Earth Downtown at 1222 McGee, the licensed Missouri marijuana dispensary near the arena, closes at 10pm Monday through Thursday and 11pm Friday and Saturday. After those hours, there is no licensed dispensary open downtown.
Big Chiefs Kush Crossroads is open until 1am Monday through Thursday and 3am Friday and Saturday. From T-Mobile Center to our front door is a 5-minute drive: west on 14th to Main, south on Main into the Crossroads, west on 19th to Southwest Blvd. A rideshare runs about the same time outside of post-event arena traffic.
If you’re heading home after a show and want hemp-derived cannabis on the way, we’re typically open. 21+ only, walk-ins only.
From Power & Light at Last Call
The Power & Light District is the 24/7 entertainment block bounded by Baltimore, Grand, 12th, and the Downtown Loop. KC Live! is its covered courtyard, and on Chiefs and Royals watch parties it’s the loudest room in the city. Watch parties run until the game ends, then the crowd spills into the surrounding bars, most of which run past midnight on weekends.
When you’re done at Power & Light, our Crossroads shop is south of the Loop. From the KC Live! Block, head south on Main into the Crossroads. The drive is roughly 5 minutes. The KC Streetcar is also an option; it runs free along Main with a Power & Light stop near 14th and a Crossroads stop at 19th. Late-night Streetcar service runs extended weekend hours but check the schedule if you’re cutting it close to last service.
We’re open until 1am Mon-Thu, 3am Fri-Sat. After most of Power & Light’s lights start dimming, we’re still open.
Riding the KC Streetcar Down
For Downtown customers who came in without a car (rideshare, hotel guest, conventioneer), the KC Streetcar is the cleanest path south. It runs free along Main Street with stops at the Power & Light District (14th and Main), the Crossroads (19th and Main), and Union Station/Kauffman Center (16th and Main). Service is frequent during peak hours and runs with extended hours on weekends.
From the Crossroads stop, walk west on 19th, then north on Southwest Blvd to reach 527. The walk is about 10 minutes from the Streetcar to our front door. You can also get off at the 16th and Main stop near the Kauffman Center if you prefer a slightly different route through the gallery district.
Just confirm Streetcar end-of-service times if you’re traveling late on a weeknight; service does shut down overnight.
Hemp-Derived vs. Licensed: What We Sell

A customer leaving a downtown event late who wants licensed Missouri marijuana product is unfortunately out of luck after 10 or 11pm on most nights; the licensed dispensaries close. If you want hemp-derived cannabis, we’re 5 minutes south and still open. Both serve adults 21 and over.

Are you open after a Chiefs or Royals watch party?
Big Chiefs Kush Crossroads is open until 3am on Friday and Saturday and until 1am Mon-Thu and Sun. Most Power & Light watch parties wrap by 1am. We are typically open through and past last call on game nights. The drive south from Power & Light to our shop is about 5 minutes.
