Right on the Trail
The Harry Wiggins Trolley Track Trail runs six miles from Volker Boulevard near the Country Club Plaza south through Brookside, then through Waldo, and ends at 85th and Prospect. Yelp’s pin for the trail at “74th and Wornall” lands at our intersection. That’s not metaphor. We’re at 218 W. 74th St. The trail crosses Wornall at our front door.
If you live in Waldo and walk the trail, you’ve passed our block. If you bike down from Brookside on a Saturday morning, you cross Wornall at 74th and the shop is right there. The trail is mostly crushed limestone south of Brookside and asphalt to the north, and it gets heavy use from walkers, runners, and cyclists on warm evenings.
We’re the only hemp-derived cannabis shop on the trail. That’s not a marketing line; it’s a function of where the trail goes and where we happen to sit. Cyclists coming south from the Plaza pass us. Runners coming north from 85th and Prospect pass us. Dog walkers from inside Waldo do laps that cross our intersection.
On the Wornall Commercial Strip
Waldo’s commercial spine runs along Wornall Road through the heart of the neighborhood. Restaurants, retail, McLain’s Bakery up the street, Waldo Pizza, the Bier Co. taproom further south. We’re part of that strip.
The neighborhood boundary runs from Gregory Boulevard on the north to 85th Street on the south, and from Troost on the east to State Line Road on the west. Our address at 218 W. 74th sits in the upper-middle of that grid, three blocks south of the Brookside-Waldo border at Gregory.
Most regulars who live inside the Waldo boundaries are within a five-minute drive. Plenty walk in. On a nice day, customers from blocks away just stop in on a walk.
Open Later Than Most of Waldo
The Wornall strip closes early. Most restaurants and retail along the strip shut their doors between 8pm and 10pm. The Bier Co. taproom and a few of the bars run later, but for retail specifically, Waldo is a daytime and dinner-hour district.
Big Chiefs Kush Waldo is open daily from 10am to midnight. Every day of the week. Sunday through Saturday, same hours, no exceptions for holidays unless we post otherwise. We’re the latest-open option for hemp-derived cannabis inside the Waldo boundaries every night.

The Hemp-Derived vs. Licensed Dispensary Distinction
There is no licensed Missouri marijuana dispensary inside Waldo. The closest licensed dispensaries to our neighborhood are From The Earth at 6200 Troost Avenue (just outside Waldo’s eastern boundary) and Greenlight at 4900 Bannister Road (south of Waldo).

218 W. 74th St, Kansas City, MO 64114. The shop sits on 74th just off Wornall Road, on the south side of the street.
If you’re driving, Wornall is the easiest north-south route through Waldo. Free on-street parking is available on 74th and the surrounding residential blocks. There’s no dedicated lot, but the side streets typically have curb space within a one-block walk.
If you’re on the Trolley Track Trail, the trail runs east-west of Wornall in this stretch and crosses at our intersection. You can lock up to a streetlight or sign post outside.
