Lion’s mane is a white, shaggy mushroom named for the way it looks. In the kitchen, some people say the texture is a little like seafood. Its scientific name is Hericium erinaceus.
Reishi is a firm, woody, reddish mushroom. You don’t eat it whole like a food mushroom. It usually comes as a tea or an extract. Its scientific name is Ganoderma lucidum.
We stock both. Our shelf rotates often, so stop in to see what’s here today. If you’re closer to downtown, you can also find lion’s mane and reishi at our Crossroads shop.
