Big Chiefs Kush is built to feel welcoming for everyone. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, you’ll get patient, pressure-free service at both Kansas City locations. We’re a family-owned, boutique hemp store, and how we treat people matters to us as much as what’s on the shelf. Walk in, no appointment needed, and take all the time you need. You must be 21 and older with a valid government ID.
This part is personal. One of our owners has a son on the autism spectrum. That shaped how the whole team treats every customer. It taught us patience. It taught us to meet people where they are, at their pace, without judgment. And it carries into every visit, for every person who walks through the door. It’s the reason the tone of the shop feels different from a high-volume counter.
Values are easy to claim and harder to live. Here’s how ours actually show up, day to day, at the counter.
🙇🏻
We don’t rush you toward a sale. If you need a few minutes at the counter to see and smell and think it over, take them. Nobody is hovering, pushing, or making you feel rushed. This is a patient, pressure-free space by design.
❔
If you’re new and unsure, we’ll explain the tiers and walk through your options in plain language. No jargon, no attitude, no making you feel like you should already know. Plenty of great customers started out knowing nothing, and that’s completely fine.
🤝🏻
Experienced customer or complete beginner, everyone gets the same patient, pressure-free service. Background, age over 21, or experience level, none of it changes how you’re treated. Everyone who walks in is treated like they belong.
We want the store itself to be easy to use, not just the service. Our Waldo shop has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and restroom, with no steps at the main door. We speak English at both counters, and both locations welcome walk-ins during open hours, so nobody has to plan around an appointment or a rigid system.
We back autism awareness, and we mean it. The goal is a space where individuals and families feel comfortable, respected, and included. That’s not a slogan we hang on the wall; it’s how we run the shop every day, in how we greet people, how we explain things, and how much time we’re willing to give. Plenty of people feel unsure walking in for the first time, and that’s completely normal. You don’t need to know any terms or have a plan. Just come in, tell the team it’s your first visit, and let them walk you through it. There’s no test and no wrong questions. The see-and-smell counter lets you look before you commit to anything.
Some shops feel built for people who already know everything. We’re not that. First-timers and longtime customers get the same patient, respectful service. That’s the whole point of a family-owned, boutique shop: you’re a person, not a transaction.
However you shop and whatever you know, you’ll be treated with patience and respect. Come see for yourself at either location, and take all the time you need.
Come see the difference in person. Walk-ins welcome, no appointment needed. We take cash, debit, credit, and Apple Pay.
